In order to be able to 3D print the Leg Strut the CAD design above must first be segmented into printable segments.
Here the colors denote printable segments (ones without unsupported overhanging edges).
This CAD Design has been assembled from individual parts.
The segments have been physically separated from each other so you can see the added alignment holes.
The 3D Raw Printed Parts
A piece of .125in styrene rod is used to align the parts.
The center holes have been drilled out to just fit the styrrene rod.
